Losing a pet can be distressing, but there are steps you can take to bring them home safely. Report your missing pet promptly and check with us regularly. Microchipping your pet increases the chances of a swift reunion, as it allows shelters and clinics to quickly retrieve your contact information. Remember, as a pet owner, you are the primary advocate in the search for your lost companion.
Microchipping services
Microchipping offers a reliable and permanent solution for identifying your beloved pet, significantly increasing the chances of a swift reunion if they ever get lost. A microchip, a tiny implant placed under the skin near your pet’s shoulder blades, contains vital owner contact information that can be scanned by any vet clinic or animal shelter.
The benefits of microchipping extend beyond peace of mind. It ensures your pet can be quickly identified and returned to you, reducing the time and stress involved in searching for a lost pet. Unlike collars and tags, which can be easily removed or lost, a microchip stays with your pet, providing a dependable way to ensure they find their way back home.
We offer this essential service at an affordable cost of $30 per microchip. To schedule an appointment for your pet, contact us today and take a proactive step in safeguarding your furry friend’s wellbeing.
City licence tags
All felines and canines that live or will stay within the city for any extended period of time are legally required to be licensed through the city.
License fee prices are as follows:
Puppies/Kittens Under 6 months of age AND Spayed/Neutered Adults: $25Dogs/Cats 6 months of age or older and NOT Spayed/Neutered: $75. City Licenses can be purchased at the Prince Albert SPCA, Paw Print Inn or City Hall
Please note: NOT ALL STRAY PET PHOTOS ARE POSTED ON THIS SITE. The Prince Albert SPCA does not take responsibility for accuracy of information. Please contact the shelter at least every two days to look for your lost pet. The Prince Albert SPCA will do its best to help with your search, but as the owner, you are ultimately responsible to look for and identify your pet.
Animals are held at the SPCA for 5 days (including the day they come in) for owners to reclaim. If they have not been reclaimed by the end of the 5th day, they will be put up for adoption at the discretion of the SPCA.
These animals are NOT available for adoption at this time.
