Legacy gifts

Charitable remainder trust:

A charitable remainder trust allows you to provide for your loved ones while also supporting animal welfare. By placing cash, securities, or real estate into a trust, you receive income from the assets during your lifetime. After your passing, the remaining assets are transferred to the organization. This arrangement not only supports a worthy cause but also offers tax benefits and peace of mind knowing your generosity continues beyond your lifetime.

Outright gifts:

Non-cash assets such as securities, real estate, artwork, or jewelry can be powerful contributions. Donating these assets can provide significant tax advantages while supporting the important work of caring for animals. These gifts are appraised at fair market value, ensuring you receive a tax receipt and enabling the organization to utilize the proceeds for critical needs.

Wills & bequests:

Including a bequest in your will ensures your legacy of compassion continues. Whether through a specific sum, a percentage of your estate, or personal property, bequests provide crucial support for future generations of animals. This thoughtful planning not only directs your assets to causes you care about but also maximizes tax benefits for your estate.

Life insurance:

Life insurance policies offer flexible options for contributing to animal welfare. You can assign an existing policy, purchase a new one, or designate the organization as a beneficiary. These choices allow you to leave a lasting impact, often with immediate tax advantages for your estate. By choosing this route, you ensure that your legacy supports the ongoing care and protection of animals in need.
