Honouring your pet
At Prince Albert SPCA, we understand the deep bond you share with your pets. That's why we've partnered with local vet clinics to provide respectful cremation and memorial services, ensuring your beloved companions are treated with dignity.
How it works
We offer cremation services through our local vet clinics Park Range Vet Services as well as South Hill Animal Clinic, as well as Honeywood Veterinary Hospital in Nipawin.
Process
- For those wanting to use our services through a vet clinic, we will make all the arrangements with the vets.
- The client will be contacted when their pet is ready to be picked up at the clinic they used.
- For private cremations, people are welcome to drop them off at the clinic, and again we will contact them when they are ready to be picked up.
- On average the timeframe is about a week before they are ready to come back home.
We also have a number of urns that can purchased, which we can order (some can be personalized with engravings) and we will return the cremation already in the urn for the owner.
If you would like paw prints, nose prints, hair clippings or to have a small bag of ashes set aside to get glass work done by Phoenix Ash Memorials, let us know in advance and we would be more than happy to do that.
Private cremations- the pet will be cremated privately on its own, and the ashes will be returned back home to their family.
Mass cremation- the pet will be cremated alongside other pets, and their ashes will be respectfully buried on PASPCA property.
