We would like to start 2022 off with a thank you to the generous and dedicated people that work, volunteer, or devote resources, to the PASPCA. The SPCA’s mission statement, is to provide outstanding animal care, and to fight for the inherent worth and dignitary of every living being through justice, equity, and compassion. We could not do this without you; every worker, and every volunteer are a blessing to us, and to the animals we affect in carrying out this mission.
We enter 2022, as a board, to spend this year focusing on board structure, board expectation along with the five year strategic plan for the SPCA. We hope to take this board, which has already been shaped by so many wonderful individuals, and continue to grow it to provide the Prince Albert SPCA a solid foundation, of which they can springboard to achieve new heights in animal welfare.
Aspects of that strategic plan include, but are not limited to:
- A continued relationship with the City of Prince Albert, and their by-law officers, as the Pound-Keeper for the City. We want to continue to help ensure that any abused, abandoned, neglected or strays are brought to the Shelter and cared for. The board is incredibly proud of our relationship with these individuals, and we look forward to strengthening it further in this New Year.
- New methods of fundraising in 2022
We invite all of our MEMBERS/VOLUNTEERS to bring forward their great ideas for raising more funds, and saving more animals.
I would like to close by saying simply that every life has worth. We at the board understand this, appreciate this, and fight for this. Without all of you, we would fail. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Brent MacDonald, President
Prince Albert SPCA
